HUAWEI, a world leading provider of information and communications technology (ICT), announces the addition of the new HUAWEI MediaPad 7 Lite to its tablet range. Exceptionally light in weight yet with a high-performance battery, the ultra-sleek new arrival is a reliable and enduring partner on the go. “The HUAWEI MediaPad is already incredibly popular, and we aim to build on this success by opening up the range to entry-level users with the HUAWEI MediaPad 7 Lite“, explains Lars-Christian Weisswange, Vice President Device Western Europe at HUAWEI Technologies.

Tablet made simple 

With dimensions of 193 x 120 x 11 mm and weighing in at a mere 380 grams, the HUAWEI MediaPad 7 Lite certainly lives up to its name. But its technical prowess is also more than convincing: the 17.78-cm (7-inch) capacitive WSVGA multi-touchscreen provides crystal-clear displays whatever the content, while the 1.2 GHz single-core processor with 1 GB RAM delivers fast computing performance. With an integrated 8GB memory which can be boosted to up to 32GB with microSD™, the HUAWEI MediaPad 7 Lite has plenty of space for games, videos, galleries and music. The 4,100 mAh Li-polymer battery has the necessary power for entertainment on the go.

The best moments of life are captured by the 3.2-megapixel camera, while the front camera enables users to keep in touch via video telephony. In addition to Wifi Internet access, the HUAWEI MediaPad 7 Lite supports mobile surfing with standards including HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE and also supports Bluetooth® 3.0, Micro-USB 2.0 and HDMI.

The Android™ 4.0-based MediaPad 7 Lite is the ideal starter pack for entry-level tablet users that prioritize design, mobile surfing, chatting and multimedia entertainment.

The HUAWEI MediaPad 7 Lite is in Germany available from October 2012 at a recommended retail price of EUR 249,-- (without contract) in Silver/White finish.
